#  Discord

Ingest message history from Discord channels to give Herald access to your community or internal conversations.

| Parameter                    | Description                                                                                                   |
|------------------------------|---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
| **Channels**                 | Names of the channels to ingest messages from (e.g., `general`, `support`).                                  |
| **Message history (days)**   | How many days of message history to ingest. Enter `0` for the full history.                                  |

**Optional parameters**

| **Trusted Role IDs**         | Only messages from users with these Discord role IDs will be ingested. Useful for filtering out bot noise (e.g., `1313190002687082589`). |

Once you hit `Save`, you will be redirected to the Discord app installation page. Select the right server and install the Herald app; this requires admin permissions.
